Staff wanting to use their school email on their Android phone (Samsung, Moto, LG, etc.) through the Gmail app should follow the following steps:
Open the Gmail app, this should be installed by default on most phones, this can normally be found in the app drawer or on your home screen. | |
Press "Got It" to begin account setup. If you already have an email account setup you will need to add another account. | |
Select Exchange/Office 365 as the account type. | |
Enter your full school email address (username@nls.k12.mn.us) and press next. | |
Enter you active directory password (the password used to login to your computer). DO NOT PRESS NEXT. Press manual setup. | |
Scroll down on the advanced setup page change the Server from nls.k12.mn.us to outlook.office365.com, then press next. | |
Press finish. | |
Press the notification saying to "be notified about new emails as they arrive". Press allow if prompted. | |
Your inbox will begin filling and you will be able to read and compose new email. |
